“There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein

Gratitude is a beautiful word and once we start to feel it, the meaning becomes even more wonderful.
A friend of mine, Chetna, got me started on meditation in a proper way. As a first of its steps – is gratitude, yes be thankful for everything that I have. I was not fully convinced as to who do I be thankful to. Ok God, may be nature, may be a mutation. Series of dinner table discussions with my son and husband. Daughter will come next week, we will no doubt have to continue the discussion.
Gratitude brings happiness, that was for sure. We all agreed on it. One of my teacher in school, English teacher and class tutor, Sister Magdalene, used to say, you should always be a child inside, keep wondering and you will see the miracle in things around you. When we go walking we tend to appreciate most of the nature that we cross. Appreciation is also gratitude, I feel.
It was a beautiful day yesterday and we met up with a friend and his family, we had a good 10,000 step walk around the Northumberland area. We were all thankful for each others company. At the end of the day shared some lovely photos and felt full of gratitude and happiness. Also had a lovely Indian takeaway with them.
I do feel immature that I did not know the power of gratitude up until now. I have been reading Bible and Gita these days. Must say that these books have so much to give us. I still have a lot to learn. Happiness comes from gratitude.I am going to keep practising gratitude and keep up with my positivity.
Great article. Here is a scripture to help in your meditation.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Everything is a miracle, down to each breath we take, there is much to be grateful for every day 🤗 but the world and all its distractions are good at trying to make us forget this.
