Cold and damp for the past two months, who wouldn’t want a break. There has been a few weeks where we have not seen any sunshine. I definitely need a break from these winter months.
I am still trying to get out in the cold for a walk. But I can’t go for too long because my knees hurt much more in these temperatures of around five degrees.
Yesterday while I was out walking in the park near my workplace, I could hear chirping of starlings in huge numbers in the very bare trees. It was actually spectacular to see the naked tree trunks filling up with birds and their songs.
My tree behind our kitchen window was full with small birds of different colours and all kinds of sounds. Biggest positive of this cold winter months is that we can see these birds in the natural habitat. Do enjoy them when you can.
Yes I need a break but it is about how much clothes we wear in order to combat the dark damp days and still get outdoors when we can. Make the most of what we have is my mantra and I like to be happy whatever is around me.
each day some thing to smile about

There is indeed something painful about chilly, wet days, especially here by the ocean.
