Last night as I was watching the Opening Ceremony of The Olympics, It struck me how big the world is. There were some countries named that I was barely familiar with. It was good that the commentators gave some context with each boat passing and familiarised us. The theme and show was based around peace, sharing, solidarity, equality and lots more. Absolute spectacular celebrations, I would say. Paris looked beautiful.
I woke up with thoughts of my own reality. A job which provides me with a house and food, lets me live in a small town and keep on going with my life, is my reality. I prefer being where I am. Nowadays with social media and ability to be transported where ever you want, by watching it on your devices, I feel we can see places without really travelling as much.
The vastness of the opening ceremony left me with thoughts of my little world. It may be little but it is precious. It is what I have made it for myself. Good thing is I can experience it all from my sitting room.
It probably boils down to being satisfied with reality, being happy with your situation. Making it all work for you is important. Perhaps no need to compare, it will bring anxiety and sadness. Let us all be aware of our own selves as much as possible and be at peace with our present.

I’m content with my life. When I’mnot, I remember the choices that got me here – mainly the choice to care for stray cats.
That said, after talking with an Indian restaurant owner about the various typographies of India, I wish for access to VR to explore those places without leaving my home.
I enjoyed the opening ceremonies, despite NBC’s poor camera work.

I hope they bring out VR for India. Thank you so much for your comments.

You can use VR headsets with Google Earth and there are tons of TouTube 3D vids. Even watching 2D youtube in a VR headset was cool, because it blacks out everything else and it’s like being in an theater.
