Reading

The new generation-do they read books?

Somebody told me they don’t even read blogs. They preferred to listen to podcasts.

So I listened to podcasts. Of course, it was easier listening to someone going on and on. It was interesting as well and was of my choice.

I have always enjoyed my quiet space with a book. The podcast was noise. So I decided to read and continue with more of reading.

What do you all like? How do we get our kids to read more? YouTube has taken over their lives I feel.

I recently bought a short storybook and I must say it was completely out of my league. I have not enjoyed it at all.

Currently reading The Secret Teacher, really enjoying it. Hope reading – the good old book, brings you all the same happiness as it does to me.

  1. For me, books are part of a rich and fulfilling life. But that doesn’t mean we have to like every book we pick up. We’ve all bought / borrowed some books and found they are not for right for us, but that’s not really any different to ordering a meal in a restaurant and leaving half of it on the plate in disgust! Sometimes we make bad choices.

  2. I’m completely with you on this one. I love to sit, not infrequently with a mug of coffee or tea beside me, and read a book. I read both fiction and non-fiction. I like the variety. I also like the aesthetic of holding a book, feeling its pages, the weight of it, etc.. Works for me. Take care and stay well. <3
