Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Happy memories is my thing. I really enjoy looking back at photographs. When sitting by myself I think about my past a lot. Mostly I learn from it, if something went wrong. I will bring it up with my family so we can all ponder over it.
Future brings me fear, and that is why I totally avoid thinking about it.
I honestly can say that my present is the most precious gift and I live in it. My intentions are always to enjoy now. Try my hardest now. Work on my self now.
My joy and happiness is my present. Hope you find yours too.
joyous new year to you and yours

I don’t think I spend much time thinking about the past or future. But maybe I’m kidding myself. Lately, everything on tv brings me to tears, so I’m clearly processing something , I just don’t know what it is.

It is ok perhaps to let the emotions flow. Let it be. Whatever it is will pass by. Take care. Try to think of nice things.

Thanks. I’m a pretty positive person and this extreme emotionality is confusing. I’m okay with it,but wishing I understood the root cause.

Not sure how old you are, but menopause can also do this.

I’m post menopause… a couple of months shy of 62yrs old.
Based on the hidtory, these values have been abnormal for just shy of 11 years. I’m now thinking that I won’t mention the long trend to the doc, cause that might prevent follow up.
