The dilemma of loving my work and writing can sometimes pull me apart. I absolutely love my job and all aspects of it from the patient care to business to targets. All of it. Oh yes totally committed and passionate about being a General Practitioner.
My dream is to publish a book one day. I am forever teeming with ideas which I try and put down in some form or shape. I am unable to find time to write which leaves me unfulfilled some days.
Yes I know there is no need to beat myself over not writing. There will come a time when I will be able to find the balance between being a doctor and an author. Even the thought of holding my own book in my hands gives a lot of happiness.
The good news is that you’ve probably been through hell to become a GP, and so you know how to put in the work to achieve your publishing goals. And if someone like me could finish a book, then there’s no way you can’t. Wishing you all the best!
