Waking up every morning, going to work, having breakfast – honestly speaking these are commitments we are all making but they have become a habit now so we dont even realise that its hard anymore. People who dont keep up with these find it hard enough. Even after a weekend Monday can be a struggle. Commitment is difficult to keep up with. We are all facing the difficulty but not realising it.
Everyday I promise to myself that I will loose some weight. I have now accepted that weight , food and exercise is going to be a lifelong everyday fight. I never realised to keep the weight stable can be such a huge fight with oneself – mentally, physically and emotionally. One big fat holiday and its all out of line and the fight starts all over again.
What ever our commitment,its so important to enjoy it through and through. If we are happy with what we do , it is more likely that I am going to follow it through. There is always going to be obstacles in the way. The thing is to identify them and work along them. Sometimes we can pre-empt the obstacles that might come, so do something about it before hand. Yes, of course. easily said than done. Hey well I always know we have an invitation for a party so I need to that extra mile on that day to enjoy the evening.
If only life was so simple. Somedays I am lazy then what do you do. Laziness is the biggest enemy that one can have. One can’t be too harsh with oneself either. I hope its OK to be lazy somedays or not be in the routine. Are you lazy for work though? How come you can have that level of action ready for work but not for your own health. What is about work that we do it with full enthusiam everyday but keep the most important which is health on the back burner.
I want to have the same level of commitment for work and health. Health is going to be with me all the time. Work only till I work . On this note let me get up and do my stretches and yoga. I will go for the quintessential Saturday walk a bit later. As long you are happy -keep up with your commitment.
