Beautiful nature surrounds us in the north east of England. Due to my knee and back my walking has gone down a lot these days. I go for drives but not walks.
Is this how life is going to be? I can’t see much light at the end of tunnel. If any one has any bright ideas please tell me.
Wish I had good advice but I don’t know that I do. A full knee replacement, and synthetic cartilage in the other, has been AMAZING! But my back ablation appears not to have worked and I’m barely moving these days in order to avoid extreme lower back pain. Docs won’t give me pain meds (low dose percocet has been great) so I’m gonna have to get a referral for pain mgmt.

At least is okay, good to hear this. Hope you feel better with your back soon.

Forgot to mention: I delayed my knee replacement for over 2 decades due to insurance & copays. I wish I’d done it MUCH earlier because now my ankle, which was compensating for the knee, is screwed up.

I can well imagine the frustration of letting nature pass by. I do not hve joint pains but general health issues and as result walking is down to minimum

Not fair is it, but such is life I guess. Hope you keep well enough to do bits.

What choices do you have for your knees? I understand. What do you forsee happening?

I guess replacement at some point. But don’t like the idea at all. I am very conservative in my thoughts so I will probably avoid as long as possible.

I understand completely! I have an arthritic right hip. I have been through acupuncture, PT, lotions for arthritis, and now a cortisone shot.

Sooner the better if replacement is needed

Yes, I am on a list with the VA. Should be in 1/27 or earlier, hopefully with cancellations. Wishing you also the best.
