Who are your favorite artists?
Van Gogh is a phenomenal artist. He is much too famous and should be liked anyway. He is my favourite.
I recently went to an immersive exhibition of his in York. It really felt like sitting inside his art works. Most of his work is well known and to see them dancing on the church walls made it all the more mesmerising.
It made me very happy to have chanced upon this experience.
It’s a simple and enthusiastic text that conveys genuine admiration for Van Gogh. Art can generate joy and wonder, even in the face of something so familiar, when experienced from a different perspective.
I’ve experienced the same immersive experience and it’s magical.
