If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

We recently did a cruise around Alaska and one day the ship stopped at Skagway. I could take a trip there again.

Small place which has retained its original buildings and lives by the land, untouched since the Gold Rush days. We fell in love with the place. We got about 12 hours there. That was not enough. If only I could get a free ticket, we would certainly go there.

To live in a place that is so remote and away from modernity will be a dream getaway. There is one store which is priced more than other towns because they have to transport goods at a cost. Older people get ten percent discount on Thursday hence all of them go on that same day.

There is hiking all around the place. Bus trips and train rides to Yukon Valley are available. Wild life is all around. Views in any direction shows nature in a different light. Winters must be harsh but will have its own special moments.

If ever I want to rediscover myself I think that’s the place to be. Go and spend a week there and simply write . That would be a real happy place to be.
