Favourite Holiday

What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

To see a tiger in front of me has been a magical moment. Sitting in front. Walking towards our jeep. Lying across on the road. Carrying a piece of meat. All of these scenes happened in front of us by various tigers in the Tadoba Tiger reserve.

We went to India last year and a friend of ours, who is a wild life photographer, accompanied us to the tiger reserve which he is familiar with. Tadoba has so many types of wildlife but of course the most popular one is the tiger.

We saw bear, bison, deers, sambhar, wild boar all in their natural habitat of thick forest. The jungles were mesmerising too.

Getting up at 4 am to go for the early safari was extremely exciting. The packed breakfast given to us by the ITC staff was amazing. Toast, omelette, paratha, tea and coffee all well packed for us so early, was very thoughtful of the hotel. The best part was eat in some clearing among the forest and huge lush trees.

We did two safaris everyday. The evening safari had to be finished before sunset. The greenery has its own unique charm in the sunset light and a lot of animals come out at this time as well.

This holiday is my favourite. I got to see a different side of India and the wealth of forestry and wildlife is never to be forgotten. The memories will always bring happiness to me.
