Holiday Memoirs

Day 20

Cockatoo Island. We chanced upon it. Lucky. It was the last day of our holiday and with hours to spare before going to the airport, we wanted to go on a long ferry ride so we went on one and took in all the sceneries of Sydney.

On our return ride we saw Cockatoo Island and thought let’s go and see it. We were taken aback at the history of it. Cruelty with convicts made us feel ashamed at humanity itself.

How can humans be cruel to each other? Power and supremacy drives us into wrong doings. Last day was impactful and made us think hard about the colonial era.

Do enjoy the photos from our last ferry ride. Good bye to our phenomenal holiday which we are going to cherish always.

Bye bye Sydney, Australia and New Zealand.
