Day 13

Never in my dreams had I imagined that I would be able to see the Great Barrier Reef.

I was amazed at the whole experience. We took a boat from Cairns to Green Island. The rainforest on the island was well preserved and had thick growth all around. We did the board walk and then took the glass bottomed boat to see the reefs. Mesmerising views. All sorts of fishes and a huge turtle in its complete natural environment. Nature truly at its best.

Our friends took us after this to Kuranda and we went on the glass bottom gondola over the rainforest and the Barron Falls. This was one ride which has three sets of it and all with different types of forest, rivers and falls. Absolutely stunning views.
