Holiday Memoirs

Day 16

Morning started with an intense desire to walk to the Harbour Bridge. All the photos above are from The Rocks area which looks a lot like London. Great weather and atmosphere for eleven in the morning.

We reached the majestic bridge and decided to walk to the other side. When we reached the pylon, saw signs to say we could go up and see the museum. Did not care about how many stairs we would have to do, just went for it. The look out point with it’s the three sixty degree views were spectacular.

The best fact we learnt was that the bridge proposal tender was won by Dorman Long from Middlesbrough. That is home for us. Ecstatic to think our area had contributed to this iconic bridge.

We roamed around on the other side and had a lovely lunch. The we tried to figure out the transport system of New South Wales. Easiest public transportation I must say. Two on and off with Visa card was all that was needed be it bus, tram or ferry.

Ferry looked tempting and thats what we did to return back. Best thing in Sydney are the ferries and we were set to make more to use it more in the few days we had.

We loved our first full day in Sydney.
