Man who taught me a lot.

Describe a man who has positively impacted your life.

My Grandfather was a great man, for me and in my eyes, he was extremely hardworking, sincere and loyal to the people that worked for him. If you hadn’t known he came out of a chauffeur driven car, his simplistic way of life would blend him with any commoner.

His clean and simple clothes always told a story of his disciplined life. Same hairstyle till the end. Intelligent to the core of his machinery that manufactured fans for the Indian Railways. He prayed everyday. Always ate simple food. Walked everyday.

He took great care of his cook, driver and housekeeper. Made sure they would be looked after even after his passing away. He never forgot his roots, always made sure to keep connected with his village mates.

Hard work, sincerity, discipline and simplicity are the things I learnt from him. I really feel blessed to have been in touch with him throughout my important adulthood years. Writing this today makes me think about him very fondly all over again.
