Rust of the leaves

Come fall in England

And colours around become life-defining

Are the leaves yellow, orange, red, pink or rust?

Whole surroundings look bright yellow.

Different colours of life are seen all around

They don’t last long.

Colours are temporary,

Even the mist which dampens things

Doesn’t  outweigh the brightness of the trees.

Surely life’s colours come and go

They are bright and beautiful and also dull and dampened

They are temporary

Good and bad will come and go

We just need to be patient

And await the change to keep coming.
