Top 10 Destinations

What are your top 10 travel destinations?

Honestly more than destinations I feel it is the company and friends that make a place special.

Japan and Hong Kong were great places and the trip was even better because we were with friends.

Alaska and Canada Rockies truly was spectacular and the companionship made it memorable and the best.

Australia and New Zealand were very special and when we met friends in Brisbane and Townsville the whole trip became quite the experience we had not imagined.

India is always the best I feel because I meet my friends and spend time with them. Delhi with an all nighter among school fiends can never be replaced. Jaipur and Jodhpur trips, such special places, again much better due to school friends. Bhubaneshwar another memorable destinations made special due to company.

Patna always holds the most special place as I was born there and every cell in my body craves for the place.

These are all my top destinations. I love going in a group. Enjoy the places you see and and make your top.

  1. We have similar tastes! I love Japan (two visits), and New Zealand was also great – sad, though, that we didn’t discover it decades earlier. In Australia we loved Tasmania, but never made it to Brisbane. Alaska and the Rockies are also great – Yellowstone Park is probably my favourite place in the whole world, though New Zealand and Orkney(!) run it close. We went to India a couple of times in search of tigers, lions and culture, and had a great time despite the heat and the crowds. But my memories of Hong Kong are clouded by a spectacular attack of food poisoning…you really don’t want to know! Other highlights over the years have included Costa Rica and Ecuador, though from news reports I saw recently the latter does not sound very safe these days.
