Living in the Technology world is so interesting. Best thing is communication – left India around 20 years ago and always used to yearn for the people that we had left behind. Pining is the word that we lived with. For most Indians that I know I can say that we are extremely emotional people. We believe in Karma and have values that we had to take care of the elders and should give back to the country that gave us our livelihood. Also we need to think what we are going to leave behind for the next generation and our beautiful Earth.
Whats App makes us now able to talk so convenietly overseas. Distances have been conquered within seconds. Its been raining a lot in Patna where my mother lives. Video call to her and I could see all around the house the waterlogging situation. Unbelievable really- the technology and the waterlogging.

Climate change is a huge issue .Technology has to say a lot about the rising temperature on our Mother Earth. Greta Thundberg has hopefully instigated a sense of emergency in all of us to work towards environment. The Techworld needs to make use of machinery and computers to make things better for the future .

Recently our thermostat was not working properly so the lad told me about HIVES – I can control temperature in my house from my phone. The oven, washing machine, lights and cameras all can be monitored from my phone. I do like technology but after all the talk I told him to replace the usual twisty thermostat -the age old one. I generally have time, my eyes are working and my hands are not yet so arthritic that I need everything automatic. Let me get on with simple straight forward stuff please. Of course there was a cost to everything so that was a deterent too. I do not spend money if I can help it.
Environmental Engineering sounds a promising field for this generation. I feel they should be able to come up with lots of solutions to all our flooding and waterlogging. Plastic in every drain, lakes, rivers and sea. Artificial Intelligence is another new field for this generation. I do wonder what these fields will bring to us in the near future. Exciting times ahead.
Saturday mornings is a happy time in our household. We get a chance to catch up with friends and relatives. Getting their news is so lovely, it is not always good news but still we are at least there for them in some form. May this technology be victorious in the right ways and make the world a better and happy place.
Wise thought.
Thank you very much
I love how technology has made the world feel so much smaller. I hope it can help us all get along together better as well!
I hope so too
