Being right handed and having my thumb nail broken has been unpleasant to say the least. Past six months I have been noticing that my nail had split longitudinally and the split is working its way further inwards. I was having to cut the nail all the time otherwise hair and the likes would get stuck in it.
I decided to go to a nail parlour and the staff looked at the nail and asked me to try acrylics on it and so I did. It definitely feels stronger and the split temporarily has been fixed. Not sure what will happen with the nail in the future.
Most things can be easily fixed if we are ready to accept unnatural accessories. Teeth, lips, hairs all have some sort of solution to their issues which affect our vanity. I do think it is not wrong to be vain as long as I am doing things for it which make me happy and I am not harming anybody.
Hair dye, wigs, lip fillers, Botox injections, I love looking at photos, videos and reels of these and keep thinking whether I need them or not. At least they are there and if they help to keep my mood elevated I will get them done. Lets see what next after acrylic nails. Enjoy life and be happy.
I’m debating lip filler. My upper lip thinned and got wrinkly, like I sucked too many straws, before I got braces (at 56/57. Doesn’t bother me as much now but it’s still on my list of maybes.
I had a mass removed from my eyelash line and am sooooo much happier!!
Good luck with your nail! Any idea what started it? Since they grow frombelow, that’s an unusual type of split.
Not sure you know. I even took some vitamins. I am glad you are happier.
Per teh interwebs: “A split nail is usually caused by physical stress, nutrient deficiency, or wear and tear.”
But now this style of nail acrylics are going to be very Popular and looking great! 👌😊
I hope they don’t damage the nails.
